Name of the event: Flipping hour!
Describe the event in a few sentences: People that like to flip would come to grand exchange, flip and talk about flipping

It usually gets implemented after a while when Gintoki adds the events to the calender.
The event posters have the ability to add it into the description straight away when they make the topic, Gintoki has enough work, he should just make sure the Event Hosters are all doing this Razz

he could easily add a tag such as [c] to the end of the date to indicate that he's done his calender and other updates?

Maybe a new event that could be added is some sort of Amazing Race. You are suppose to go to "checkpoints" where hosts are located, and give them the item. Both the location and the item should be like described, for example the Lumbridge Swamp should be "A damp place with several dead trees, on the east of this place is a boat."

I remember there being an event like this held already, am planning to do one soon. However it takes a whole lot of work to organise.

Keep in mind there are two versions of the game now so you will need to be specific.

I think he meant eoc, since the majority doesn't have skills to barrows on 07.

I request an event about riddles.

Riddles? You mean stuff like "if you say my name I am no more"(silence)?
I think it was done before, but seems like a good idea. Bad thing is it would probably take a long for attenders to figure it out. Well guess there could be hints :p

Re: Event suggestions

Post by BlackbeardX_69 on 3/2/2014, 11:38 am

Ok guys here is my suggestion, I like playing hns/scavenger hunts/riddles etc
But the event i have in mind would take atleast 1-2 weeks of planning to be able to host.

Name of Event: One Piece.
Description:This is like a quest. Riddles, anagrams, cryptic clues, fighting ranks in combat to attain next clue(don't be too hard on us tho =P). Just like a in game quest but hosted by the ranks...It will require atleast 3-5 ranks working together to host something like this.

SO here's the thing, In the Clan Events page the thread about the quest will be posted, and every 10-15 mins it can be updated with the next riddle/anagram/challenge...the ranks can either be hiding at that spot or the riddle may indicate an item which we must acquire, with a rank being the "Game Master"/"quest Master" and he must help to verify if items are right.

when a challenger has finished all the challenges he/she has to find the buried treasure( People who have done the quest "Carnillean Rising" can bury chests with pin code/key) and either obtain the key from the "Game master" or if its a pin the pin code may be pmed to the challenger

since the events are 45 mins long and only 1 person can get the buried treasure, this event can be hsted probably once a month with a huge price and all the participants getting consolation prizes.

Suggestion2

Name of Event: One piece

Description: Same buried treasure u gotta find, but only one person is needed to host this, He/she may ask players to get them items(maybe 5-10 items, upto u) (in the form of riddles/anagrams posted in the thread on forums) and find the Host who has hidden themselves with the key/pin somewhere in rs( the hints for hints can be said in the FC chat) with the right items to obtain the key/pin. Its is upto the host to hide the treasure near their hidden location or far away.

We have people from all over the world and there is always someone who will lag badly or worse than others gaining a disadvantage.

I don't know if this has been done before.

Name of the event: RuneScape Riddles
Describe the event in a few sentences: In the event there would be around 12 riddles that are on teh subject on Runscape,(in the IRC) this winner would be the person who answers the most riddles, pretty simple Razz

It sounds like he means:

I'm made out of wood and have water inside.
Pour me out and over time I dry.

What am I? (Bucket of Water)

Terrible example, but you get the point.

Depends on how the group want to make the event, you could give riddles on a location and a peson has to figure out where it is such as : Im Located in the desert and hate Saradomin = Bandits or Trick questions such as Im in a castle where Battles take place around my by many players = Black knights fortress.
My suggestion was purely for the host to decide how difficult it should be.
Hope I gave some clarity.

Name of the event: Divine Inventios
Describe the event in a few sentences: Well as for now there is no exact date when the Inventor skill will be up. So why not prepare? Making a skilling event to train one while preparing for another. Gathering divine energy(starting from the lowest). That way there will be no need to by the energy when the skill comes out and train divination at the same time.
